Parental Support

Parents are not expect to know everything there is to know about helping their child transition. There are many different types of support groups out there that parents can participate in. Such as chat rooms, personal web pages, and matching programs. Matching programs are one of the more accommodating features of the web. With matching programs, you are paired with other parents who may share similar experiences with their children. This allows for a more personal and one-on-one support.
One web site that includes all the features mentioned above is Family Village. This web site allows you as the parent to gain access to different resources that other parents like yourself have found. This site has its' own chat room and its' own matching program.
